350XLP and 500LP underlifts combine rugged, low-profile construction and proven engineering that customers expect from Jerr-Dan
Hagerstown, MD (July 2, 2026) — Jerr-Dan, an Oshkosh Corporation business and leading manufacturer of towing and recovery equipment, has expanded its heavy-duty product lineup with the introduction of two new low-profile underlift offerings: the 350XLP and 500LP. Designed to address the increasing prevalence of lower front bumpers, air dams and aerodynamic designs on today’s commercial vehicles, the new underlifts provide towing and recovery operators with enhanced access to roadside casualties while maintaining the strength, reliability and durability that define Jerr-Dan® equipment.

The new 350XLP joins the company’s 350 Series of underlifts, available on the JD35 Ton Integrated Heavy-Duty Wrecker. The Jerr-Dan 350XLP underlift features a 35,000-lb retracted lifting capacity, 16,000-lb extended lifting capacity and reaches up to 143-in past the tailboard when extended with forks at ground level.
The new 500LP expands the company’s 500 Series of underlifts and is available across multiple Jerr-Dan heavy-duty platforms, including the JD50 Ton Integrated Heavy-Duty Wrecker, JD60 Ton Independent Heavy-Duty Wrecker, JD35/40 Ton Rotator and JD50/60 Ton Rotator. Depending on the configuration, the 500LP underlift delivers a 50,000-lb retracted lifting capacity, 17,000-lb extended lifting capacity and up to 148-in of reach past the tailboard with forks at ground level.
“Both new offerings are engineered to provide the versatility and application flexibility demanded by today’s heavy-duty towing operations,” says Stevens. “The lower-profile designs help operators more easily position underlifts beneath modern commercial vehicles, reducing the need for additional repositioning during recovery operations.”
Beyond the low-profile design, the new Jerr-Dan underlifts incorporate several engineering features that reinforce the capability and confidence operators need: A robust 5-in crossbar and oversized pivot pin are designed to provide the heavy-duty performance, while the floating mid-section helps the underlift better accommodate real-world recovery conditions and an expanded selection of fork attachments provides added versatility for a wide range of towing applications.
