Industry News - Publishers Letter Volume 15, Issue 6 - Darian

As another issue of Tow Professional Magazine arrives in your mailbox, fall is becoming a welcomed friend just a short distance down the road. Once again, we thank our tow professionals not only for their loyalty to our publication, but also for their continued support of our vendors. That support over the past 15½ years has made a tremendous impact on our industry.

This year has been a barn burner and fast-paced, to say the least. The decisions we make in business today are more important than ever. At Tow Professional, our editors and contributors take pride in providing in-depth features on the products, services, people, and companies that keep our industry moving forward. Our goal is to give you the information you need to make quality decisions for your business, your employees, and your future.

In this issue, we proudly honor the newest inductees into the International Towing & Recovery Hall of Fame, recognizing their dedication and never-ending support of our industry. We also take a moment to spotlight the International Towing Hall of Fame Weekend and the people who make this special event possible.

The partnership between Miller Industries and Hino brings us another vehicle designed to make dreams come true while playing a key role in supporting the men and women who serve our industry every day.

In this issue’s installment of Fuel for Thought, DJ Harrington talks about ā€œDonations needed, no money involved.ā€ He encourages us to take a look at the Saving Lives Foundation and think about getting involved by donating to a fantastic cause.

Michelle Sukow brings us another great story in her Women of Towing series. This time, we take a closer look at Jodi Spandel, her family, and her heart for the towing industry. It is another reminder that behind every successful towing operation are people, families, and stories worth celebrating.

This issue also gives back to those who have fallen while serving this great industry. Tow Professional continues its support of the International Towing Museum and Survivor Fund by providing a two-page spread at no cost, helping generate greater awareness and support for the families of our fallen tow professionals. Honoring those we have lost—and supporting the loved ones they left behind—is a responsibility our entire industry shares.

We also take a look at wheel lifts and damaged-vehicle movement equipment from Jerr-Dan, Hide-A-Lift, ResQTrack, Kanister Industries, and Collins Dollies. These companies showcase products that provide towing professionals with different options and cost-effective ways to expand their capabilities and add proven money-makers to their operations.

Zips also showcases a special donation to the Survivor Fund that you will not want to miss. It is another great example of our industry coming together to support its own.

As we move into the fall of 2026, thank you again for your loyalty to Tow Professional Magazine, our advertisers, and our vendors. Your continued support allows us to tell the stories, highlight the products, and recognize the people who make this industry great.

We hope to see you at the upcoming Mid-Atlantic, Midwest Regional, and Chattanooga Tow Shows in 2026. If you see us, stop by and say hello!

Until next time, be safe, stay strong, and God bless you all!
