I learned a long time ago when you ask for someone’s help you can get it when you ask for help in the right way. I really need the industry’s help with this project. Here’s what I need and how you can get involved. It will help you too if you help those in need.
That’s quite a different approach to giving. How can you get involved to support those in need? You donate a vehicle. Through the Changing and Saving Lives Foundation, donated vehicles could include –- multiple cars, trucks, RVs, boats, and motorcycles. That’s right, motorcycles too! Maybe it’s a vehicle that you consider salvage, ready for auction, or end-of-life processing. Or maybe it’s a boat that’s been sitting on your lot for eons thinking that you’ll finally sell it one day to a fisherman or give it to a relative. I encourage you to share this opportunity with as many companies within the industry as possible. Waiting until later doesn’t get the job done today. Talk to as many people as you can about this opportunity. I have only three words: Share, Share, Share! You probably know someone that owns a vehicle that they would like to get off the property ASAP. It could be a storage-lot operator, fleet manager, repair facility, dealership, insurer, municipality, a vendor, partner, family member, or friend who might have something they could donate.
Every day, my wife veers into the left lane around a white car parked on the street curb going to my daughter’s house. Infrequently, it’s driven somewhere because it’s not always parked in its usual place. I know it works, but why is it always parked at the curb inconveniencing other drivers? I plan on asking about that white car being donated the next time we drive by again. Donating it could help someone in need.
All these vehicles can be picked up at no cost to anyone donating them. Maybe it’s a vehicle left abandoned, or unused like that white car on the way to my daughter’s house. It could be converted into support for NABC community impact programs. You can help us to help National Auto Body Council, and it could help you as an owner. Get your staff members involved in identifying vehicles that could be donated to this cause.
I thought you might like to know who benefits from each donation. One donated vehicle can help fund programs that provide reliable transportation, strengthen families, support veterans and military members, and equip first responders with critical training. NABC Recycled Rides can provide reliable transportation to veterans, military members, and families in need, as well as NABC F.R.E.E. (First Responder Emergency Extrication) which delivers life-saving training to first responders. This is cross-training, and they do it with towers and the local fire and police departments. It is FREE to towers.
If you’ve ever thought about donating an impounded vehicle that is eligible for disposition, fleet vehicles that are ready for disposal or vehicles tied to mechanic’s liens where appropriate, please consider that they could be donated to this worthy cause.
The donation process is quick and easy to do! I will give you the telephone number in a minute. You submit your request to donate to this foundation. Make a call about the vehicle that you would like to donate and schedule your complimentary vehicle pickup. They will pick up the vehicle and process it for end of life. The best part? You’ll receive a tax donation receipt for your vehicle donation.
It helps you too while you’re helping NABC. This ease of participation makes this foundation a strong fit for organizations and individuals who want to clear unused vehicles while supporting the mission of a worthy foundation, the NABC Changing and Saving Lives Foundation.
This foundation appreciates any support that you can give them. The NABC can certainly provide you with customized marketing materials, digital graphics, counter cards, flyers and press releases to support your participation and to help towing companies communicate this opportunity with customers, partners, and community contacts in the future. Together we can turn unused vehicles into meaningful support for people and communities in need.
Another thing, I never mentioned your making a monetary donation. You may contact NABC’s foundation by calling 888-350-KEYS (5397) to start your donation process. Please call this number to get rid of that boat or anything to clean your yard. Thank you for helping me. Call me if I can help in any way at 770-301-4122. Together, let’s help someone in need.
